A new re-designed consumer website for askcomreg.ie

(01 May 2007)

Webtrade has re-designed the Commission for Communications Regulation consumer website askcomreg.ie. The Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) is the regulator for the electronic communications (telecommunications, radio communications and broadcasting) and postal sectors.

This askcomreg website has been designed with the consumer in mind. The aim of this website is to provide consumers with a user friendly website with relevant information and answers on the main issues which affect them in their dealings with suppliers in relation to mobile phones, fixed-line phones, the internet and the postal sector. The site was designed to be accessible for all types of users, with special attention to people with disabilities.

The website been re-branded to align with ComReg’s phone and broadband pricing website www.callcosts.ie and the website has been expanded to offer further information and services to communication consumers in Ireland.

The site now includes a ‘Tell Us’ section where consumers can review ComReg’s Consumer Policy and are advised about contacting the ComReg Consumer Line with queries or complaints which have not been addressed by their service provider. Furthermore, www.askcomreg.ie now offers an e-mail alert service that will inform consumers of any news items, newsletters and other consumer related publications.

The re-launch of www.askcomreg.ie is part of ComReg’s ongoing Consumer Strategy to enable consumers to make educated and informed telecommunications choices.

The website can be viewed at www.askcomreg.ie Consumer Website of the Commission for Communications Regulation
