Webtrade 5th in Deloitte and Touche Technology Fast 50 Awards
Webtrade Limited, one of Ireland’s leading web development and online marketing firms, has once again been named in the Deloitte and Touche Technology Fast 50 Awards. Webtrade was 4th last year and has maintained its Top 10 status by coming 5th this year, as announced by
Deloitte & Touche yesterday, 25 November 2002.

The top 5 were :

1. eTel
2. The Data Warehousing Practice
3. Biznet Solutions
4. Macalla Software
5. Webtrade Ltd, eBusiness Solutions

Established in 1999, eTel a leader in the provision of cross-border telecommunications solutions in the Central European region has seen aggregate growth in revenue of 1173 per cent over the past three years.

Topping the list from Northern Ireland was The Data Warehousing Practice; the specialist provider of software products and bespoke services in business process management, data warehousing and business intelligence achieved a growth rate of 975 per cent. In third place, and for the second year running, was Biznet Solutions, an Internet solutions provider, which develops websites and ebusiness solutions, which had an aggregate revenue growth of 781 per cent. Fourth and fifth place went to Macalla Software and Webtrade respectively.

Announcing the winners of the third technology Fast 50 Programme, David O’Flanagan, Partner with Deloitte & Touche, said: "This programme offers a unique recognition for the achievements made by growing technology and telecommunications companies. The Fast 50 programme shows that despite the difficult global environment Irish technology companies are continuing to grown with average turnover growth of more than 240% in a three-year period. We are delighted to see that many companies have achieved a ranking in all previous Fast 50 programmes including VistaTEC, Connect Global Solutions, Parallel Information Technology and QUMAS."

All Irish Fast 50 winners are automatically entered into the European Fast 500 programme, the results of which will be announced at the Financial Times World Telecommunications Conference in London on December 2. This programme offers Irish companies the opportunity to assess their competitive position internationally.

The Technology Fast 50 programme recognises and ranks the fastest-growing technology companies in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Of the 50 companies to succeed, 14 are based in Northern Ireland and the full list ranges from well-established companies such as Conduit (ranked 9) and Trintech Technology (ranked 29) to newly emerging ones such as Macalla Software (ranked 4).
