Webtrade was commissioned to design, host and provide content management for the new site, which will become the main human rights information resource for Ireland, supporting the Human Rights Commission’s strategic objectives and reflecting the work and activities of the Commission.

and Dr. Alpha Connolly, CEO of the HRC.
The Human Rights Commission is a statutory body established by the Human Rights Commission Acts 2000 and 2001, as a direct result of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement.
Human Rights Commission staff will use our LiveEdit™ content management system to update content such as Publications, Press Releases, a Calendar of Events and What’s New. The site also includes our LiveEdit™ email module, allowing people to register their email address to receive notifications of updates to the site.

Reviewing the site: Dr. Alpha Connolly,
CEO of the HRC, An Taoiseach, Mr. Bertie Ahern T.D.;
and Dr. Maurice Manning, President of the HRC.
The site was designed to meet Public Sector Web Publication Guidelines and WAI Accessibility Standards.
Over time, it will feature an Irish language version of all site content, assisted by our LiveEdit™ multi-lingual module, which allows HRC staff to easily add content in both English and Irish.
