Flat Web Design is something that we've be hearing more and more about over the past number of months. Enquires and awareness have grown in the last couple of months especially. At Webtrade we like to keep as up to date as possible with all the different trends in the technological and online sector; so we'd like to fill you in on the latest trend; Flat Web Design. 

What is Flat Web Design you may ask?

Well in my opinion is it bringing web design back to a more basic look and feel, but keeping it stylish. Basic doesn’t mean boring. Think the screen of your iphone - simple yet stylish. 

With a flat design you are taking away all the flashy tricks that some people use and you create a website! Your web design is clear, clean and colourful. If you were to take a look at the Microsoft page or even the Webtrade about us page you’ll get a better understanding of what I am talking about. Simple call to actions with lots of colour with easy to read content and a defined next move for the user.

Some of the reasons people are choosing flat web design are

It’s something that we are going to see more and more about over the coming weeks and months, and it won’t suit every business; but it is something to think about when you are getting your speaking with your website designer. I think that flat web design might be simple but it will be stylish. The simplicity and usability of a flat web design will probably even give you website a little longer lifecycle than some other websites.
