Dublin-based web development company has invested €1.2m to develop a content management system (CMS) for businesses that automatically updates sites with the latest web features. Webtrade’s Siternity product was developed at a cost of €1.2m and is expected to reduce the lifetime ownership cost of websites by more than 50pc.
Its novel warranty includes automatic upgrades to the core software, meaning customers’ websites are always at the cutting-edge of internet technology.
The system is specifically designed to allow non-technical users to manage and update their websites easily.
Established in 1998, Webtrade is one of Ireland's longest established web development companies. The company has developed more than 500 websites for businesses and government agencies.
Webtrade’s managing director Patrick Bates says the Siternity system has many easy-to-use features designed to enable non-technical website managers to take even more control of their websites. Key features include the ability to add new sections, pages and even manipulate images at the click of a mouse.
"Our Siternity business model is about ensuring value for money for our clients by offering them up-to-date core functionality as part of our standard offering,” Bates explained.
“In other words, clients will always have the latest version of our CMS, and these upgrades are done in a seamless fashion with no impact on our clients' sites."
