What is Google looking for? Everyone's aim is to get found in Google. The way we are getting found is changing every day; Google changes the parimaters and how people are searching for your website is also changing. People used to click on your website from their desktop or laptop! Now almost 30% of people are searching via their mobile device, and this number is increasing daily. LiveStats Statistics Server Discontinuation / Google Analytics Setup

Webtrade's LiveStats statistics server has recently been decommissioned. It housed a website statistics service which had been provided as default with our websites since 2001. Over the years we have been encouraging all of our client to migrate their websites to using Google Analytics instead. The last few clients still with LiveStats accounts (where in use or not) were notified of the discontinuation plan over the past few months.

Setting up a Google Analytics Account

If you are new to Google Analytics, the first step is to sign up using a Google Account. You can do this by visiting www.google.com/analytics   Step 1 As you can see from the screen shot here there is a sign-up box on the top right hand side of the screen with a “Create an account” button.
