Beware: Domain Name ScamWe received an email from one of our clients in relation to an email they were sent. The email was informing them that their domain name was expiring and they needed to renew it. Of course their domain name with us was not due to expire for another 20 months, so they found it a bit weird.

Blogging is now a mainstream activity. It’s everywhere. No matter where you turn there’s a blog staring at you. According to a 2011 survey by HubSpot.com, businesses are in the minority if they do not have a blog on their website.  From 2009 to 2011 the percentage of businesses with a blog grew from 48% to 65%.

Successful use of Social Media is still quite rare, but Swedish furniture company, Ikea, have recently completed a very innovative campaign, according to Social Media website Mashable. The campaign involved promoting the new Ikea store in Malmo. They chose facebook to get people to promote their store for them.

Facebook have announced that registered users can now have a more personalised Facebook URL (or username) on their accounts, e.g. www.facebook.com/webtrade. Facebook's idea is to make user profiles much more user friendly to type in, remember, and find.
